Rays of Relief: Bangladesh Water Filtration

Project Details

The purpose of the project is to reduce fuel consumption such as wood, coal etc. which is traditionally used to boil water to make it safe to drink. This is done by providing affordable and easily available treated water that is safe to drink to the low income groups or in rural areas. By providing safe water, the project will ensure that households consume less firewood during the process of water purification and as a result there shall be a reduction of carbon dioxide emissions from the combustion process.
