The technology removes the requirement of AC to DC and DC to AC conversions which helps in reducing the cost of production of per unit watt power. Applying a suitable UNFCCC approved methodology for the estimation of emission reductions, the project scenario fits into the type-1 category as the consumers are not connected to a national/regional grid and consume less than 500 kWh of electricity per year.
